DESCRIPTION:
LPW - Elgin, Lady Elgin, 11-15K, 10S, 14-18K gold (tested, exhibiting slow fade of 18K solution on stone, no fade of 14K solution, so exact content likely somewhere between these standards) original drum style HC with not quite accurate "18" marking in cameo, front with very unusual engraving of a young girl on a swing, rear with floral detail, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS, gilt mvt, s#164522. Gross weight of assembled watch 47.2 dwt (73.5 g). An elegant case with very unusual engraving detail.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent overall gilt tone with mild haze in few areas, some small nicks and micro-fine scratches around case screw area; visible portion of dial with cluster of hls between 4 and 5, short hl at 6:30; excellent hands; case with short fine fracture at lower-right perimeter of front lid, case shows hardly any wear, extremely subtle crease-type dent toward right center of front which has negligible visibility to outer surface of lid but is evident to internal surface, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, push shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
